Bhutan Visa & Tariff
All the tourists travelling to Bhutan require a Bhutan Visa except the travelers from India, Maldives and Bangladesh. It is processed through a local tour operator in Bhutan such as BLUE MOON TOURS & TREKS.
Bhutan Tourist Visa is issued only when a confirmed booking through a local or international Travel agent has been made. No foreign embassies/ organizations issue Bhutan Tourist Visa. A Valid passport copy and the Bhutan visa application form duly filled must be sent to us at least a month before the tour.
A Visa approval letter is issued by the Government of Bhutan which will be sent to the travelers through email or fax. The travelers have to show the visa approval letter while boarding the Druk Air Flight. The actual Visa will be stamped on arrival in Bhutan.
For travelers entering Bhutan by land, two passport size photographs are required on arrival in the border.
A visa fee of US $ 40 is payable. The Visa fee can be sent with the tour payment.
The minimum daily tariff for tourists visiting Bhutan in a group of 3 or more persons is US $ 250 per person per night
This daily tariff includes:
-Royalty and other taxes to the government
-Service of guide
-Accommodation in twin Sharing Basis.
-Transport within Bhutan
-Museum and monument fees
-Pack animals on trek.
Individual tourists and groups consisting of less than three people are subject to a surcharge in addition to the minimum daily tariff as follows:
Single Individual- US $ 40 per night
Group of two persons- US $ 30 per person per night
These FIT surcharges are non commissionable.
US $ 20 and US $ 40 per person is payable as tourism development fund and Visa fee respectively. These are one time fees.
The cost we offer does not cover any form of insurance. We recommend that you have a insurance cover to protect against unforeseen accidents or mishaps. We do not have such policies in Bhutan.
Single Room Supplement.
Accommodations are provided on twin sharing basis. An additional single room supplement of US $ 25 per person per night is applicable incase of single room reservations.
The tour programmes booked and subsequently cancelled shall be subject to cancellation charges as follows:
-Within 30 days of the start of the tour – no charges
-Within 21 days – 10 % of the rate
-Within 14 days – 15 % of the rate
-Within 7 days – 30 % of the rate
-Less than 7 days or cancellations without notice – 50% of the rate
-After arrival in Bhutan – 100 %
There shall be no charge for delayed arrivals or departures due to weather conditions, Druk Air problems or road blocks. The tourist must however bear the cost of accommodation, transportation, food and other services required.
